Choose the LMS that's right for you

We welcome questions and inquiries related to work, but we also often get questions where people just want to learn something.

I'm sorry but I can't answer that question.

What benefit do I get from answering your questions when I know nothing about them?
If you try to teach them kindly and carefully, they will just keep asking you the same questions over and over again.
In that case, it's just endless volunteering.

I don't have the time or the luxury for that.

The other day I was asked a question about LMS.

"With my level of skill, can I build it myself?"
"I don't have a PC, but I want to do a side job. Please support me."

I can't say anything.

One thing I can say is that an LMS can be built by translating it into Japanese. Translation is the most difficult part. The famous LearnDash has only about 50% translated. The question is what to do with the remaining 50%. Because I don't think people will use a membership site that is a mix of Japanese and English.

I will write my subjective opinion here, so please feel free to use it as a reference.

is.

Not LearnDash, whatever it takes.
It is not even TutorLMS, which appears to be the next most popular site in Japan.

Even the free themes are beautiful and fairly easy to build.

You can create something this beautiful using just the free theme Astra.

Master
It's super easy and runs smoothly.

This is also Astra.

Academy LMS
I'm trying to make it new and simple.

As such, it is not well known for its integration with BuddyBoss or PeepSo, but that is not a big deal. If you are running a membership site, there is no big difference whether you integrate it or not.

First of all, it is easy and simple, and anyone can use it.

This is the most important thing, and since LMS are generally difficult (or troublesome), this aspect becomes even more important.

TutorLMS has many bug fixes with each update, so are there still that many bugs? It's tough that it's full of bugs and doesn't work even though it was made properly. When I ask the developers questions, they either evade the question or say they'll fix it in the next update. I think it's pretty usable now, but it's still the same cycle of adding new features → adding bugs.

I haven't messed around with LearnPress yet, but the design is too strict.

That's the impression I get.

LifterLMS

As expected, it is a well-established and famous restaurant, but it is not exactly easy.

With that in mind, choose an LMS that suits you or your users.

The most important thing is that the users (students) can use it, not that I can use it.

But in Japan, it's too

I guess that's all there is to it.

I think it is possible to build any of them as long as they are translated into Japanese.
