Crowded trains, run faster

The demo site looks good, but it feels very slow and heavy. People often say that this is what makes them uneasy.

Also, I am satisfied with the service, but the site is slow. Can you do something about it?

It is also said that...

But that's mostly a problem with the server you're running.

Most of them use rented or shared servers.

If you want to eliminate your speed concerns, operate an expensive dedicated server.

The speed of a rental shared server will decrease if the percentage of users occupying the server increases or the time of day. It's like a crowded train. It's a little better if there are fewer passengers. If you're not satisfied with that, you'll need to rent a private train or a private jet (a high-speed dedicated server).

The published specs and figures for rental shared servers are impressive, but they don't actually have that much capacity. It's like advertising the speed and fuel efficiency of a car.

"But blogs and company information sites still load a little faster."

That's because it's a lightweight site with few features.
Because it's a site with low traffic.
(When the number of accesses increases, it becomes difficult to connect, the load becomes heavy, and the speed becomes slow. This is why the server costs for major sites are astronomical.)

I also have contracts with several shared server business plans that were popular a few years ago, but recently they have become very slow and sluggish. Shared server services are kind to newcomers, but cold to those who have already signed up. They are left with the old specs. Even if the performance has improved, it is usually the capacity. Speed is not about capacity, but memory, and there is no point unless the transfer rate increases. It's the same as with computers and smartphones. Increasing the hard disk size will not make it faster. It should not get faster unless you increase the memory or upgrade to the latest model.

Although they say they have increased the server specs, this is only for new subscribers. Members who have been using the service for a long time will be left with the old specs.

They may contact you and ask you to switch to a more expensive service because your site is overloaded, or they may revise their prices without your permission and raise them.

It was my fault for putting too much on the shared server, so I thought I should at least save the site I built with BuddyBoss.

I moved it here.

This is the speed of BuddyBoss installed on the "Shin Rental Server".

However, because I want to introduce many features, I've packed in too many plugins that can be integrated, and I've also moved about 10 other BuddyBoss and PeepSo sites, so it's heavier and slower than simply running one BuddyBoss. Since it's a shared site, the more sites you add, the slower it gets.

This site itself is also on the same "thin rental server" as the domain indicates. It's just a blog with some plugins and SureCart, so I have no complaints about the speed for a site of this size.

Currently, I think that "Shin Rental Server" is one of the fastest shared servers using WordPress. You will understand if you perform migration work. The transfer speed is faster than others.

However, there are still some sites that cannot be migrated or are difficult to migrate, and the number of contracted servers continues to increase.

This is one standard.

There are many different services from each company, so it is difficult to say which one is better, but such cheap shared rental servers are inferior to "Shin Rental Server" in terms of speed. Everywhere they write things like "best in the industry," "number one in Japan," and "overwhelming," but there is no basis for their claims.

Focusing on speed on a shared server is like telling a crowded public transport to go faster, so many people try to solve the problem with caching plugins, but their site starts acting up.

I look forward to the day when the time comes when we have to worry about speed and costs, and when we have to pay as you go fees and other charges, and when we have a smooth, unlimited internet environment. That will be an indicator of a country's development.

If you are worried about your internet being slow or sluggish, it is because your internet connection is poor.

Rather than protecting profitable businesses by imposing restrictions and charging for such things, making high-speed lines free will lead to further development, economic growth, and national development.
